Join us on April 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton. Enjoy an afternoon of captivating jazz, featuring The Evolution Big Band's contemporary twist on jazz standards. The concert is free, and we kindly request a $20 donation to support the Kiwanis Club of Bluffton.

The Evolution Big Band
The Evolution Big Band is Bluffton, South Carolina’s hometown All-Star Big Band, playing jazz standards with a contemporary flair. The band features 17 of the top jazz musicians in the Lowcountry who volunteer their time and talents because they are committed to keeping big band music alive and thriving.
Founded in 2004 as the Stardust Orchestra, the all-volunteer group has changed its musical repertoire over the years In 2017, the band changed its name to The Evolution Big Band to reflect the changing nature of the genre.
With the leadership of Executive Director Jeff Shawd, the Evolution Big Band has curated a big band music collection that totals more than 6,500 arrangements. And, using musical entertainment as a platform, the Evolution Big Band has become a fundraising enterprise that integrates big band music with compelling experiences for its non-profit partners. These efforts have now surpassed $450,000 in total funds raised to support numerous worthy causes such as the Kiwanis Club of Bluffton, Sun City Lions Club, the Hilton Head Junior Jazz Foundation, Bluffton Self-Help, Backpack Buddies of Bluffton, among others.
